I have enjoyed every travel memoir that Mahoney has written and her new book is no exception. A fan of rowing, Mahoney relates her goal of traveling down the Nile on her own in a skiff. She writes with humor and insight about the spectacle created by a woman alone in a boat along the banks of the great river.
